Prayer Ministry
This is one of our most important ministries. It underpins everything we do at LBC. Without prayer means without God. Our Wednesday night prayer service has grown significantly and we have seen God do some amazing things as a result of prayer. Do you have a prayer request ? Let us know, we’ll pray for your request. office@lynbrookbaptist.org .
Adult Sunday School
The Sunday School hour is where we can really “dig in” to God’s word and uncover the riches and truths that fill every page. If you have a desire to know God better, this is the place for you. Hours are 9:30am to 10:30am every Sunday (except during the summer break). Nursery is provided for your very young ones, up to age 2.
Childrens Sunday School
Proverbs 22:6 states: “Train up a child in the way the he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. Of course, this verse doesn’t guarantee “trouble free” kids. However, solid moral and biblical training for our children gives them the foundation and direction to become godly and moral adults. For children ages 2- High School, 9:30 AM Sundays.
Women’s Bible Study
Our women’s Bible study is an excellent way to learn more about God, while ministering to each other. We meet Monday nights at 7:30pm. If you would like more information, call or email us: office@lynbrookbaptist.org
Youth Group
This ministry seeks to involve our Jr. High and High School students in activities which are fun, while fostering positive biblical principles, and enjoying the fellowship of other likeminded youngsters. Some of the activities we have done, and will do are: Outing to Radio City for Christmas show, Paintball, Indoor skateboarding and Roller Skating, Indoor flag football. Outings to L.I. Ducks and L.I. Dragons games as well. Once per month we meet in the church for Ping Pong, Foosball, music and movies. A Bible lesson is always included.
Worship Service
Psalm 100 says: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Praising the Lord with song and music is an important part of our worship of God. We have just the right mixture of Old Time Hymns and the newest Contemporary Christian music to suit any preference. A children’s lesson, prayer, fellowship, and relevant, accurate biblical messages are important parts of our worship. Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of the month.
Outreach Ministry:
This ministry prays, plans, and prepares events and activities that bring the “Good News” of salvation by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, to the neighboring communities. We use any means available (radio, TV, mailing or whatever) to reach the lost with the message of Salvation. Our outreach extends beyond Long Island. The sending and support of missionaries in the inner city and around the world is a significant part of our outreach.
