CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
WELCOME
Proverbs 22:6 states: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Of course, this verse doesn’t guarantee “trouble free” kids. However, solid moral and biblical training for our children gives them the foundation and direction to become godly and moral adults. We have programs for all ages from infants up through 12th grade. We invite you to join us and check them out!
Sunday school provides a wonderful opportunity to dig deeper into God’s Word! Classes are available for Preschool aged children through the 12th grade. Each week the children are challenged to delve into the Bible with age appropriate lessons. They gain an understanding of Biblical truths, grow in their faith and are challenged to learn memory verses while applying these truths to their lives.
Children have the opportunity to join the Little Angels choir (3 yrs. old—5th grade) and/or the hand bell choir (1st through 5th graders). These specialty groups prepare and perform music for holidays and other special services during the year. The hand bell choir meets on Sundays after the morning worship service (January-Easter). The Little Angels Choir meets on Saturday mornings, October through December with a performance during the Christmas season. These are both wonderful ways to develop musical skills and to praise our God!

Vacation Bible school is a major outreach for our church and is offered for children competing Kindergarten through the 6th grade. It is a week-long Bible Camp offered in the summer. During that week, the kids will meet new friends, learn songs, play games, do crafts/science projects all while learning more about God’s amazing love for us and how they can have a relationship with Jesus.
TruthJR is a Children’s Ministry of Lynbrook Baptist Church which meets monthly. The children are taught the Word of God so that they will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, grow in their faith and be able to share Jesus with others. Children are challenged with age appropriate lessons, activities and Scripture application as well as allowing time for fun! There are also special events, outreach opportunities and field trips planned throughout the year. Check the church website calendar for the meeting dates and times. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to attend!
Warm, capable adult nursery workers can care for your precious little ones (infants and toddlers) so you can enjoy the Sunday morning worship service.
During our Sunday Morning Worship Service, we have a Kid’s Church program. This program is for Preschool through 5th grade children. They follow a “church like” service including a time of praise and worship. Each week the children are taught through Bible-based lessons which utilizes hands-on learning that is tailored to capture their interest.
John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” At Lynbrook Baptist, our Student Ministry is centered on the Word of God. We explore the TRUTH of God’s Word in a relevant and understandable way—in a fun and engaging environment. At Truth for Youth, students are challenged to seek out and stand for the TRUTH, Jesus Christ, in their daily lives; to serve in their church and community; and to discover/develop their leadership potential!
Truth for Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade) meets on Sunday nights 6 - 8 pm.

Here at LBC we consider ministering to children and youth both a privilege and a sacred trust. Therefore, we make every effort to create an environment where they may learn about the “Good News” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also in an environment that is safe and pleasant for them. In keeping with that, each Children’s Ministry worker has agreed to our Child/Youth Safety Policy and has an approved background check.
Security Procedures
Each of our children’s areas is designed with your child’s safety and security in mind. You can worship knowing your child is safe and secure, and having fun learning about God.
· When you check in your child, please complete a registration card, sign your child(ren) in on the sheet provided and place their personal items in their cubby. (Nursery & Primary church)
· When picking up your child, please sign your child(ren) out of our care. We require that an authorized adult sign your child(ren) in & out.
· A video security system is installed in rooms and at each doorway in the building.
· In case of an emergency evacuation, parents are asked to proceed directly out of the building to join your child outside.
Your child is special to us. It is our desire to minister to your child’s spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Our areas are divided by age group and staffed by workers who are committed to providing the most loving, caring environment possible for your child.
